Registration Notes
To register any student, the school will require a copy of your child's birth certificate and proof of residency may need to be presented. Any necessary documentation, such as birth certificate, School of Choice form, or Custody papers, can be emailed or presented in person for the school to make a copy.
Children born in 2019 are registering for the 2024-2025 school year.
If you are registering:
A child in care, please contact Rochelle Rands at 204-857-8756.
A child new to Canada, please contact Kendra McKenzie at 204-857-3405.
A child living in the Keeshkeemaquah area, contact Bill Beauchamp at Long Plain School at 204-252-2326 or the division office at 204-857-8756
For the Mature Student Program (MSP) at Portage Collegiate Institute, please stop the online process and go to the PCI West Office (brick building) to complete the MSP Registration.
Catchment Areas
Before submitting your registration, please confirm the designated catchment school for your child. Students must attend the school within the catchment area where they reside. Exceptions are made using the Schools of Choice application process.
The catchment area for French Immersion is all of Portage la Prairie School Division, so if you live in Portage la Prairie or the Rural Municipality, you do not need to fill out a School of Choice Form. French Immersion registrations should be made to École Arthur Meighen (M-8ième) or Portage Collegiate Institute (9ième - 12ième), depending on the grade level.
School of Choice
If you wish to enroll in a school outside of your catchment, choose and fill out one of the following:
School of Choice Form - WITH-IN PLPSD School of Choice Form - OUTSIDE of PLPSD
School of Choice applications for FRENCH IMMERSION are only required if the child resides outside of PLPSD.
For the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, Crescentview School will not accept Kindergarten School of Choice Registrations.
